This policy explains how Whisper & Word handles information on www.whisperandword.com and the web reader at app.whisperandword.com. For privacy questions, use our contact form.
Information you send us
The contact form asks for your name, email address and enquiry. We use these details to respond and handle the matter you raise. The form is for parents, carers and other adults. Please do not include a child’s name, age or other private information.
Delivering and protecting the website
Cloudflare provides hosting and protects the contact form with Turnstile. It processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, and security signals to deliver pages and help detect automated abuse. Resend processes the contact details and message to deliver your enquiry to our email inbox. Our email provider also handles correspondence. We do not keep a separate website enquiry database.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The marketing website does not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics or accounts. Fonts and illustrations are served from this website. The contact page loads Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Cloudflare may process security-related browser information as described in its own privacy policy.
Your place in the reader
The separate reader saves reading progress and preferences in the browser you use and may cache public story text and images. There is no account or cloud sync, and we do not ask for a child’s name or age. Clearing browser data removes your saved place; changing devices or browsers does not transfer it.
Sharing and international processing
We use service providers to deliver the website, prevent abuse and handle correspondence. They may process information in countries other than yours, under their own service and data-protection arrangements. We do not sell personal information or use enquiries for advertising. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address misuse.
Retention and your choices
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to respond, resolve the matter and meet related record-keeping obligations. Service providers retain information under their own policies. You can use our contact form to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have sent, or to raise a privacy concern. Any rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. You can clear reader data in your browser settings.
Security and changes
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no internet service or email channel can guarantee complete security. We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above shows the latest revision.
